55x55x18 Personal Aircraft Hangar Plans
The customer on this aircraft building went with a 45×14 door to fit their personal airplane. Something that needs to be taken into consideration when figuring out the size steel aircraft building you will need is the clearance needed on the building to accommodate the door. In most cases you will need 5 ft of clearance on each side of the door as well as 4 to 6 ft above the door. This can vary depending on the type of door and you will need to coordinate with your Titan project manager, who will be assisting you with your project.
This prefabricated airport building was engineered according to the Wisconsin building code requirements of a 60 lb snow load and 90 mph wind. To help with the cold Wisconsin winters our customer went with a 9 1/2 inch sag and bag roof insulation as well as a 6 inch wall insulation package. It is always a good idea to get insulation in colder climates.
